HILLMAN SCHOLAR

James Hillman’s The Soul’s Code (1996) is the inspiration behind my research.

In this book Hillman champions the genius in every child.

My forthcoming book, Re-Visioning Education: James Hillman, Theory in Practice, applies Hillman’s ideas to education.

It follows Hillman’s thesis that strange student behaviors such as walking around with a mini dictionary or repeatedly failing English exams, are pointers to a child’s genius.

The dictionary belonged to the future writer, Truman Capote and the school dunce in English was Winston Churchill.

My work speaks to all teachers who wish to understand student behaviors on a deeper level.
